Shot in the head rival gang confrontation Tacoma Washington


TACOMA, Wash. Police are investigating what they believe is a gang-related shooting near a bar east of Tacoma. A Ford Taurus with three men inside apparently pulled up at the Thunderbird Trading Post bar at 72nd and Waller around 8 pm A man got out and asked somebody to call for help. Two men inside the car had been shot. Police say the men were wounded in a drive-by shooting that happened at 72nd and Portland Avenue. Police believe the Ford Taurus passed another car at the intersection. Each car had rival gang members inside. People in the other car fired several rounds at the Ford Taurus shattering the back window. One man was shot in the back of the head, the other in the back of his shoulder. Both were transported to local hospitals. The man who was shot in the head is in critical condition. Police are questioning the third person who was not injured and who was in the Ford Taurus.
